Privacy Policy

This page explains what data goes where when you use Drop Your Chat (dropyourchat.com), how long it stays and when it is deleted. Every sentence here is based on the site's current code; if the code changes, this text changes too.

Who provides the service (data controller)

Step by step: where your data goes

1. When you choose your file. Your chat export is first read in your own browser. Counts such as number of messages, who writes how often and the longest silence are calculated in your browser. At this stage the content of your conversation does not reach our server; only a content-free counting event such as "file uploaded" does (see Measurement).
2. When you verify your email. A 6-digit code is sent to your address. The code is valid for 10 minutes; emails are sent by Resend (USA). After verification, a signed token valid for 90 minutes is kept in your browser.
3. When you request the report. Your browser sends our server: the conversation text (for long conversations, an excerpt spread across the whole period, at most 1,500,000 characters), your name and the other person's name as they appear in the chat, your two answers to our questions, the counts calculated in your browser, your email address and your language; the server adds the country code of the connection. This package is encrypted with AES-GCM, kept on Cloudflare infrastructure for at most 1 hour, and deleted as soon as the report is written.
4. While the report is written. The conversation text is sent to OpenAI (USA) to be processed by the AI model that writes the report. Prompt logging is turned off in our OpenAI dashboard, so the content is not stored in our OpenAI account. How and for how long OpenAI itself retains API data is governed by its own policy: ⟦OPENAI_SAKLAMA_TEYIDI⟧.
5. When the report is ready. The report text is encrypted with AES-GCM and kept for 72 hours, then deleted. The permanent copy of your report is the PDF sent to your email. The PDF is created with Cloudflare's browser rendering service and sent to your email through Resend. The copy in your inbox stays with you; we cannot delete it. 6. Job record. For each report a record is kept: status, timestamps and only a SHA-256 hash of your email address (the plain address is not in this record). The record is deleted after 72 hours.

Payment

Payment is taken through ⟦ZOTLO_UNVAN_ADRES⟧ (Zotlo). Your card details never reach us; the payment form belongs to Zotlo. Your email address is passed to Zotlo. On our side, the Zotlo transaction ID, amount and currency are kept with the job record for 72 hours.

Preventing abuse

For rate limiting, your IP address is kept as a SHA-256 hash for at most 1 hour. Per-email limits are also kept using a hash of the address.

Measurement

There are no visitor cookies on the site and no individual tracking. Only daily totals are kept: the name of an event (e.g. "file uploaded"), language and country code. These totals are kept for 400 days and cannot be linked to anyone. The number of tokens used per report is also recorded; no content is recorded.

Marketing consent

Only if you separately opt in, your email address is kept in plain text on our marketing list until you withdraw consent. Every email we send contains a link to leave the list; when you leave, your address is deleted from the list.

We don't sell your data

We don't sell your data, use it for advertising or share it with anyone other than the services listed on this page.

International transfers

OpenAI and Resend are based in the USA; Cloudflare operates worldwide. Your data is processed outside your country through these services. Legal basis: ⟦YURTDISI_AKTARIM_DAYANAGI⟧

Your rights

You can ask what data we process about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted: hello@dropyourchat.com. Because the conversation is kept for at most 1 hour and the report for 72 hours, usually nothing is left to delete by the time a request arrives. ⟦GDPR_KAPSAMI⟧

Terms of Use

What the service does

Drop Your Chat reads a two-person chat export you upload and writes a report describing patterns that repeat in the conversation. The report is written by an AI model.

What the service is not

The report is not a diagnosis, therapy, counselling or professional advice. It is not a health service. If you are going through something difficult, please talk to a professional. Any decisions you make based on the report are your own.

AI can be wrong

The report may be wrong, incomplete or overstated. Quotes in the report may not match the sentences in the conversation word for word. In long conversations the model reads an excerpt spread across the whole period rather than every message; the counts are calculated from the whole conversation.

Who can use it

Only people aged 18 or older.

The conversation you upload

A conversation also contains what the other person wrote. Upload only conversations you took part in and have the right to upload. You may not use the service to monitor, harass or threaten another person, or to build evidence against them. The report does not pass judgement on people who are not in the conversation and must not be used for that purpose.

Access to the report

The report opens on screen and is sent as a PDF to the email address you verified. The permanent copy of your report is that PDF; keeping it is your responsibility. The report is kept encrypted on our server for 72 hours and then deleted.

Intellectual property

Rights to the site, brand and design belong to ⟦SATICI_UNVAN⟧. The report is for your personal use.

Terms of Sale

1. Parties

Buyer: the person who places an order on the site and verifies their email address.

2. Subject

A single digital report, written with AI from the two-person chat export uploaded by the buyer, delivered electronically.

3. Price and payment

Price: ⟦FIYAT⟧, taxes included. One-off; no subscription. Payment is taken by card through Zotlo's payment form.

4. Delivery

The report starts being prepared once payment is verified and usually opens on screen within a few minutes; it is also sent as a PDF to the buyer's verified email address. The permanent copy is this PDF; the report is kept encrypted on our server for 72 hours and then deleted.

5. Right of withdrawal

With the buyer's explicit consent, the report starts being prepared immediately after payment and is delivered electronically at once. The buyer confirms this at checkout by ticking "I want my report prepared immediately and I understand I lose my right of withdrawal once it is delivered." ⟦CAYMA_ISTISNASI⟧

Refund Policy

If we take your money but cannot deliver your report, we refund you automatically; you don't need to do anything. These cases are:

• The report could not be produced in two attempts (you will also receive an email about it).
• The payment arrived after your conversation had been deleted (the conversation is kept for at most 1 hour).
• The payment could not be matched to any report request.
• The same report was paid for twice (the second payment is refunded).
• The amount charged does not match the expected amount.

Refunds go through Zotlo to the original payment method, in the same currency. How long it takes to reach your account depends on your bank.

Once a report has been delivered, not liking its content is not in itself a reason for a refund (see right of withdrawal). If you think something went wrong, write to hello@dropyourchat.com; we look at every request.

Cookie Policy

The site does not use visitor cookies. Measurement is cookie-free; there is no individual tracking and no advertising or analytics cookies.

• Tab storage (sessionStorage): Only during payment, so that we can bring you back to the waiting screen after 3D Secure, the report request ID, your verification token, email address and language are written to the tab's storage. It is cleared when you close the tab. The conversation and report are never written there.
• Payment form: During payment, Zotlo's form is loaded and may use its own cookies. ⟦ZOTLO_CEREZ_TEYIDI⟧
